Flava D kicks off 2018 by dropping More Love 2

After a busy year as part of superproducer trio TQD, Flava D starts 2018 off by showing her soulful side once again on the second instalment of ‘More Love’

Way back in April 2015, Flava D released a 12 track project during a a period of time which she has since said was ‘really heavy emotionally’, and you could definitely tell. Full to the brim with soulful, emotionally charged, yet danceable music, ‘More Love’ quickly became one of our favourite UKG releases of all time.

Fast forward to the 1st day of 2018, ‘More Love 2’ is here and if you were thinking that after a year of of touring with TQD, playing huge, bass heavy tunes to sell out crowds Flava may have lost touch with her sensitive skew on Garage, you’d be wrong.

Gorgeous, lush chords, delicate keys and passionate vocals flow right through the project over immaculate drums, with even the heavier, dance floor-focused tracks allowed breathing time.  Our personal highlights include all 3 remixes on the release; a Reese driven take on Bushbaby’s ‘Give Me Something’, a Rhode’s drenched version of Murlo’s ‘I Need’ ft Gemma Dunleavy and an incredibly smooth RnB re working of Kindom’s ‘Nothing’ ft Syd. Also standing out is the vibey ‘Forgiven’, which features cleverly sampled guitars and, in the last 2 minutes, some of the finest key work we’ve heard in a long time.

With Flava promising ‘more music than ever’ from her across ‘all styles’ and her role in TQD’s forthcoming Radio 1 Show, we’re excited to follow her progress in 2018.
