Livsey, Palizé, J69 and KDot all feature on ‘1 Year of ATI’

The artists of ATI Management team up on a bumper compilation as the company turns a year old

It’s been a fast and furious 2017 for the artists on ATI Management as they’ve played at events and festivals up and down the country, released a proverbial ton of music and ultimately developed as artists under the caring guidance of ATI founder, Jakob.

To see out the year with one last achievement, KDot, Palizé, J69, Livsey, Claybrook and Ma?k have a track each on ‘1 Year of ATI’ – a compilation to mark the first 365 days of the company.

KDot gets deep with his bars over a rich, soulful instrumental on ‘Lost in the Sauce’ whilst Palizé picks things up with screechy stomper ‘Hold Up’. J69 returns to his classic bassline roots once more on ‘Oh’; think throbbing bassline, skippy hi hats and pitched vocal samples. ‘Switched Down’ sees Livsey draw on influences from Neuro, with rasping basslines and thumping drums. ‘Rush’ is another nod of the head towards the sound design of oldschool bassline, with Claybrook employing a rolling, squelching bassline over 2 step drums. Ma?k’s ‘Gunshot Medley’ is a hybrid of the current sound of bassline and the slightly techier side of Bass House.

‘1 Year of ATI’ is out now to purchase or download iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify and Juno Download and you can check it out here.

Reloaded Events to host a bass heavy Christmas party this weekend

Reloaded December Event Flyer - Full Line Up.jpg

Continuing their monthly party, Reloaded are in action for the last time this year for a final 140bpm blowout

Since starting out in September, Reloaded have managed to hold down a monthly night at Red Bar, supporting a host of local up and coming talent. This weekend (December 16th) they make their last appearance of 2017 with a free entry event ahead of Christmas.

Footage from previous Reloaded nights

The lineup is looking weighty, with a Chameleon Audio takeover and rising talent Ghxsty headlining whilst StormGG, Vukes, Iyayi, Gesher and Platssy all providing support.

The Nottingham scene is lively at the moment for smaller promoters and we’ve every faith Reloaded will be bringing nothing but vibes – after all, who can argue with a serious helping of Grime, Bassline and all other things 140 for free in the name of Christmas?

To get people in the mood for the night, StormGG has come through with a brand new promo mix which you can listen to below. To find out more about Reloaded’s free Christmas Event, the Facebook event can be found here.

1Forty get Funky with their best release so far

artworks-000268759952-qbhzre-t500x500

The Leeds based crew go hard with their 3rd and final free compilation

1Forty’s final release of the year, and the the last instalment from their genre specific free download series, dropped today. Made up of 2 UK Funky bangers and a 4×4 UKG roller, in our opinion it’s their best effort yet.

GHSTGHSTGHST and Serious combine on title track ‘Buss Da Dance’ (which we were lucky enough to premiere); a raw cut of weighty UK Funky that is capable of quite literally bussin’ the dance. J69 keeps things Funky on ‘Wanna Say’ with tribal drums, a catchy riff and a rolling bassline whilst Witchdoctor provides the UKG in the form of shuffling 4×4 drums, warping Reese basslines and vocal chops.

It’s a massive release, and has already had support from DJ Mag as well as plays across the nations top radio stations.

You can stream 1Forty – Funky & Garage (1FFNG001) in full below and download it for free.

GHSTGHSTGHST – Buss Da Dance ft MC Serious [Premiere]

The ever illusive GHSTGHSTGHST comes through with some gritty UK Funky

1Forty’s 3rd and final, free, genre-specific, compilation is quite probably our favourite yet. This time exploring the realms of UK Funky and Garage after already visiting Grime and Bass, every tune is a banger and we simply can’t believe it’s free.

We’ve been lucky enough to host the premiere for GHSTGHSTGHST and Serious’ collab, ‘Buss Da Dance’, which is a bass heavy, Funky banger made to do exactly what it says on the tin. Serious’ catchy vocal is sure to have everyone inside chanting along, and GHST’s production is as raw and aggressive as ever.

Also on the release, which is out on December 12th, is J69’s tribal Funky roller ‘Wanna Say‘ and 4×4 Garage warper ‘Gotta Get‘ from newcomer Witchdoctor.

Stream the premiere of GHSTGHSTGHST ft Serious – ‘Buss Da Dance’ below and checkout 1Forty for more free releases here.
