The Brighton based underground label are expanding once again.
It wasn’t long ago that Southpoint launched their ‘Introducing’ series for exciting music from up and coming artists, and the South Coast crew aren’t slowing up, launching their latest series today; STPTX.
Running as a series of consistent singles alongside their ever growing main release catalogue of EPs, the aim is to quickly spotlight individual artists whilst giving them a full release on a credible platform – an exciting prospect for the artists set to be involved.
The first release comes from Southpoint mainstay Bushbaby and Zero; the latter coming up through the ‘Introducing’ platform amongst other labels.
Their collaboration ‘Forget It’ is a 4×4 stomper with neuro influenced sounds alongside more typical, chunky basslines and crisp, powerful drums. In all honesty the production is immaculate and it’s clear to see Southpoint have managed to pin down two producers at the top of their game, with word from the label themselves that we can expect to see more from the pairing in 2018.
Rumour has it rapid-rising talent Freddie Martin and resident Southpoint mic-man Razor both have projects forthcoming in the series too…
