Bassline don, and 1 third of T Q D, is set to play an ‘All Night’ set as UK Bass music continues grow in the capital.
At the start of the year, we asked the question ‘Is London finally ready to have a bass scene?‘, as a steady stream of UK Bass events were announced in the capital city, after previously not having much traction.
5 months into 2017 though, and we’ve seen Fabric takeovers from Facebook community Lengoland, Deeprot take over Camden Assembly and Holy Goof livestream from Work Bar with a bumper lineup of DJs. And that’s just scratching the surface, with a whole host of other events being put on.
Finally it looks like the hard work building a genuine London scene for UK Bass music is paying off , as DJ Q has been invited to perform an ‘All Night’ set at Brixton’s Phonox. Owned by the same people who own The Nest and XOYO, Phonox, previously Plan B, is typically a more house and techno orientated club (Tony Humphries and Brodinski played the two ‘All Night Long’ sets before DJ Q), so we see the booking of the Bassline legend as a huge statement.
Taking place on July 6th, we fully expect Q to tear the roof off with a sick, bass heavy, screwface inducing journey over the course of the night.
If you’re in or around London, make sure you get down to ‘DJ Q: All Night Long’ and support the scene. Get your tickets here.
If you’re putting on, or playing at, a night in London let us know so we can share and support it!
